qathet Regional District's board directed staff, at the May 26 regional board meeting, to continue with current practices associated with special event permits and overnight camping in regional parks.
The discussion about revising regulations came as a result of a presentation at committee of the whole in April from a couple getting married and wanting to have camping at the Klah Ah Men Lund Gazebo, which has been denied.
The current wording to the bylaw states that no person shall camp in any park except Haywire Bay Park and Shelter Point Park on Texada Island.
