Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Saturday night warning Sunshine Coast residents that the remains of tropical storm Ana, downgraded from a hurricane, will be felt on the BC coast late Monday or Tuesday.

The meteorological service statement said that the coast could experience weather typical of an intense fall storm with strong winds and heavy rainfall, between 50 to 100 millimetres of precipitation. Coastal residents are advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as the situation develops.
