Summer-like weather is finally hitting the qathet region today and into the weekend. Temperatures, according to the Weatherhood app, have been pushing 20 degrees Celsius in the daytime today, Friday, June 7, and will be in the mid-20 degree range on Saturday and Sunday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has announced that Canada has an modernized and expanded weather radar network. 32 new cutting-edge radars have been strategically positioned across the country covering more than four million square kilometres, and provides radar coverage to 99 per cent of the Canadian population, according to the announcement.
The improved radar can track precipitation and offer early detection of developing storms and severe weather events, such as hurricanes, cyclones, tornadoes, floods and severe thunderstorms.
