BC Ferries cancels afternoon sailings at Westview terminal

Due to blustery weather conditions both the Texada Island ferry (Blubber Bay) and Little River/Westview ferry will not run

BC Ferries has released a notice about ferry cancellations for Westview Terminal in Powell River and Blubber Bay Terminal on Texada Island.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the following Island Discovery sailings have been cancelled for today, Thursday, April 20:

3 pm departing Blubber Bay (Texeda Island)
3:45 pm departing Westview (Powell River)

"We are closely monitoring the weather and should conditions not improve, additional sailings are at risk of cancellation," stated BC Ferries. "The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We apologize for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations."
