Wildfire burning in northern qathet region

Another wildfire in qathet region has been reported by the BC Wildfire Service, now listed as under control, located in Theodosia and Okeover Inlet region north of Powell River. "Under control" means a wildfire is not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter.

According to BC Wildfire Service, the fire, which was initially reported as being out of control, is 0.09 hectares in size. "Out of control" refers to a wildfire that is spreading or is anticipated to spread beyond the current perimeter, or control line.

The fire was reported on August 11 and the suspected cause is lightning.
