It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Darrin Mathson.
Darrin leaves behind son (Brendan), father (Colin), brother (Chris), sister (Robyn) and nephew (Jordan), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers and his beloved clients.
Darrin was predeceased by his mother (Audrey), Grandma and Grandpa Matheson, Grandma and Grandpa McCarter and Uncle (Rob).
Darrin was an avid sports fanatic, playing soccer, football and baseball throughout his younger years. But it was his love of golf that brought him the most joy.
Darrin was a roofer for many years in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver area) until knee problems made him change his profession. He went back to school to train as a health worker. Once his training was complete, he came back to Powell River and started to work with Inclusion. Darrin loved his work, his co-workers and, most of all, his clients.
