Son of the late Allan Cameron and Hildreth Neil Logan (née Alcock), Earl Howard Logan was born on December 14, 1927, in Merritt, BC, and passed away on March 17, 2025, in Powell River, BC.

An experienced logging road builder, oil delivery driver and bus driver, with a clean driving record for 82 years, he was also an oil refinery worker, private pilot and heavy equipment operator.

Dad was an esteemed member and past president of the Westview Flying Club and loved his beloved plane, a red and white Cessna 140. He never forgot the connections he made with the many people in his working and social life, here in Powell River, who he held very dear. He spoke of you all very fondly and was grateful to have had you all in the story of his life.

He had a fantastic wit and was always up for a little banter. His integrity was unquestionable, a man of true honour.

He was married to his artistic and social wife, Barbara, for more than 60 years and lovingly cared for her until her passing on June 11, 2014.

He had two sons, Allan Logan (Jacquie), who predeceased him in October of 2023, and Douglas Logan (Rosaleen); they were his world. He shared numerous loving stories of his boys with Rosaleen over the past 20 years. Dad also leaves behind six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Dad was a man of fortitude, skill and quiet strength. He will be greatly missed. A service will be held at a date and location to be determined.

“You worked to make our world a better place, Dad. You will be forever in our hearts.”
