Parker Lalonde scored one of three goals for his Powell River Kings, but it wasn't enough in a BC Hockey League game in Port Alberni on March 11. The hometown Bulldogs more than doubled that output in an 8-3 win.

Parker Lalonde for the second night in a row, but the host Alberni Valley Bulldogs were too much for Powell Kings, who had defeated Nanaimo Clippers 24 hours earlier.

Alberni scored three times in the first period on Saturday, March 11, added a pair of goals in period two and another trio in the final frame en route to an 8-3 win.

Karter McNarland and Alexi Van Houtte-Cachero also scored for the Kings, who were outshot 35-30. Ryder Ringor, Anthony Yu, Van Houtte-Cachero and Casey Aman recorded assists. Liam Vanderkooi made 22 saves while taking the loss on net.

Attendance at Alberni Valley Multiplex for the BC Hockey League (BCHL) game was 1,301.

Powell River hosts Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday, March 17, at Hap Parker Arena. Game time is 7 pm. The two teams meet for a second weekend matchup in the same venue on Saturday, March 18, at 5 pm.
