Chilliwack Chiefs shut out Powell River Kings

Chilliwack Chiefs scored a trio of first period goals en route to 4-0 win over Powell River Kings on Friday, September 24.

Goaltender Zak Brice made 25 saves for the Kings, who outshot the Chiefs 37-29 overall.

Chilliwack’s fourth goal came during a second period power play; the first three goals came at even strength.

The BC Hockey League exhibition contest was the first of two weekend matchups between the two clubs, both at Chilliwack Coliseum. Game time on September 25 is 7 pm.

Powell River wraps up the weekend with an afternoon game in Langley on September 26. The regular season begins at home on October 8 against Nanaimo.
