Powell River Kings fall to Langley Rivermen

Late goal prevents a shutout loss in the first game of a three-game road trip for the BC Hockey League club

Langley Rivermen scored twice in each of the first two periods, building a 4-0 lead en route to a convincing win over the visiting Powell River Kings at George Preston Arena on Friday, December 17.

Kings prevented the home team from recording a shutout late in the third period. Nolan Krogfoss and Karter McNarland set up Mark D’Agostino’s seventh goal of the BC Hockey League (BCHL) season on a power play with 51 seconds remaining in regulation.

Langley outshot Powell River 30-20 in the 4-1 win. Attendance was 458.

Kings continue a three-game road trip with stops in Coquitlam on Saturday, December 18 (7 pm), and Surrey on Sunday, December 19 (4 pm).
