Powell River Kings start road trip with loss in Coquitlam

BC Hockey League club looks to bounce back versus Chilliwack tonight

Alex Sandhu [above] scored the lone goal for Powell River Kings in a loss to Coquitlam Express on Friday, November 17.

Coquitlam opened the scoring with a power play marker in the first period, then added two even strength goals in period two after Christian Maro set up Sandhu's first of the BC Hockey League (BCHL) season. The home team also scored the only goal of the third period to make the final 4-1.

Owen Crudale made 30 saves for the Kings, who were managed to outshoot the Express by a margin of 36-34. Attendance at Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre was 1,178.

Kings play in Chilliwack tonight (November 18). Game time at Chilliwack Coliseum is 6 pm.
