Powell River Kings have traded Owen Barrow's rights to Merritt Centennials.

Powell River Kings have traded 2003-born Owen Barrow to Merritt Centennials in exchange for future considerations.

Barrow appeared in 56 games for the Kings during the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 BC Hockey League campaigns. He scored six goals and added another half dozen assists for a total of 12 points.

Prior to suiting up for the Kings, Barrow spent three seasons at Yale Hockey Academy in Abbotsford. The six-foot, 200-pound forward is from Kamloops.

“We'd like to thank Owen for his contributions to the Kings on and off the ice,” the organization stated in a media release, “and wish him all the best this season in Merritt.”

The team announced the trade on Tuesday, August 16.
