Powell River Kings will open the 2025/2026 BC Hockey League (BCHL) season at home.

Kings will host Langely Rivermen for a pair of games at Hap Parker Arena to kickoff the campaign on September 19 and 20. Both will be 7 pm starts.

Two of four exhibition games will also be played at home, with Nanaimo Clippers visiting on September 6 (7 pm) and Alberni Valley Bulldogs providing the opposition the next afternoon (1 pm).

The league has realigned by forming four divisions, including Coastal West (Powell River, Nanaimo, Alberni, Victoria Grizzlies and Cowichan Vallley Capitals). Coastal East includes Chilliwack Chiefs, Coquitlam Express, Langley, Prince George Spruce Kings and Surrey Eagles.

Interior West will feature Cranbrook Bucks, Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Trail Smoke Eaters, Vernon Vipers and West Kelowna Warriors. Five teams based in Alberta will be part of the Interior East division: Blackfalds Bulldogs, Brooks Bandits, Okotoks Oilers, Sherwood Park Crusaders and Spruce Grove Saints.

Powell River will be looking to advanced to postseason play after missing out on playoff action for the past two seasons. The top four teams from each of the league’s four divisions will qualify for the postseason, according to the BCHL, while one team from each division will miss out.
