Road trip ends in disappointing fashion for Powell River Kings

Powell River Kings concluded a string of six straight games away from home with a double-digit loss in Penticton on October 30.

The host Vees scored five times in the first period, added four more goals in the second and six in the third en route to a 15-1 rout of the visitors from the Sunshine Coast.

Anthony Lucarelli scored the lone goal for Powell River, notching his third of the BC Hockey League (BCHL) season early in the second period.

In addition to dominating the scoreboard, Penticton outshot their opponents 41-20.

Attendance at South Okanagan Events Centre was 2,191.

Powell River hosts Chilliwack for a pair of games at Hap Parker Arena on Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6. Faceoff for both is 7 pm.
