Powell River Special O Swim Club recently travelled to Courtenay for a regional swim meet.
The athletes, who travelled with coaches Susan Storry, Diane Leaman and Laurie Norman, swam very well and three of the athletes placed in the top three of each event they competed in.
Erika Barker: First in 100-metre freestyle, 200-metre individual medley, 200-metre freestyle and 100-metre individual medley; second in 100-metre and 200-metre backstroke.
Lance Barker: First in 200-metre breaststroke and 100-metre freestyle; second in 100-metre backstroke; third in 200-metre freestyle.
Grace Hilton: First in 25-metre freestyle; second in 50-metre backstroke; third in 25-metre backstroke.
Lynn Hilton: First in 25-metre freestyle; third in 25-metre butterfly.
Daniel Lejeunesse: First in 50-metre backstroke and 50-metre freestyle; second in 100-metre backstroke and 50-metre breaststroke.
Tanya Norman: Second in 100-metre individual medley, 25-metre butterfly and 50-metre freestyle; third in 50-metre backstroke.
Janet Robertson: second in 25-metre backstroke and 25-metre butterfly; third in 25-metre backstroke and 25-metre freestyle.
Robert Soumang: First in 50-metre breaststroke; second in 25-metre freestyle and 25-metre breaststroke; third in 50-metre freestyle.
