BC Ferries has advised that it has cancelled the last two sailings of the Malaspina Sky this evening, March 22, 2020, due to a staffing issue. BC Ferries, in a service advisory, states that it apologizes for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause.

Cancelled sailings are as follows:

·      9:45 pm ferry departing Saltery Bay

·      10:40 pm ferry departing Earls Cove

“Your safety is important to us, and we require a specific number of crew members on board the vessel to ensure the safety of our passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency and to comply with Transport Canada regulations,” the service advisory stated.

“Our goal is to inform our customers as early as possible of any changes to our scheduled sailings.”

BC Ferries recommends that for the most up-to-date sailing and departure information, customers also follow @BC Ferries on Twitter, visit the current conditions webpage at www.bcferries.com, or call toll free at 1-888-223-3779.
