Powell River RCMP reported the following for December 6 to December 12 , 2018.

December 7; Manson Avenue
At approximately 8:40 pm, police were conducting patrols and observed a van being driven erratically. The 35-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming liquor. The male then provided a breath sample, which registered a “fail.” The male was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound under the Motor Vehicle Act.

December 8; Padgett Road
At approximately 1:40 am, police were conducting patrols on Padgett Road when a vehicle was observed on the side of the road. Police approached the vehicle, spoke to the 43-year-old male driving, and observed a bag of marijuana in the centre console. The driver was issued a $230 ticket for operating a vehicle with cannabis in it, contrary to the Cannabis Control and Licensing Act.

December 8; Joyce Avenue, 3800 block
At approximately 11:15 am, police responded to a report of a theft of bicycle. The bike was stolen sometime during the previous night and is described as a silver adult-sized Norco Storm 3 with black writing on it.

December 8; Wharf Street, 9800 block
At approximately 2:14 am, police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Wharfinger’s office. Entry was made into the washroom and the shower change box was broken into. No money was taken, but there was damage to the lock on the change box.
