City of Powell River councillor CaroleAnn Leishman has been acclaimed as chair of the Powell River Regional Hospital District board for 2020.
At the inaugural meeting of the regional board held on Thursday, November 28, pursuant to provisions prescribed in the Local Government Act, Brabazon was acclaimed chair of the board for 2020. This distinction marks the sixth year in a row the board of directors has looked to Brabazon for his leadership.
At the inaugural meeting of the Powell River Regional Hospital District board held on Thursday, November 28, pursuant to provisions prescribed in the Local Government Act, Leishman was acclaimed chair of the Powell River Regional Hospital District board for 2020.
Leishman is a qathet Regional District (qRD) municipal director. This distinction marks the second year in a row the hospital district board has looked to Leishman for her leadership.
According to a media release from qRD, both directors will bring their experience and expertise to the roles of chairs of their respective boards and will provide guidance in support of local government service delivery.
