Philip Dennis Jantz, May 3, 1949 - March 29, 2014

Phil’s sons Ken and Derek would like to share the news of their dad’s passing. He was a man who had many passions. His love of hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, especially with his boys, and later golfing, filled his life. Many wonderful stories can be told and retold of these adventures.

He was blessed with a quick wit and sense of humour as well as his well-kept secret, a piano player. After a career in the logging industry and business agent for the IWA, he found his niche as manager for Powell River Salmon Society. He embraced the job and took great pride in helping it grow.

Phil will be remembered as a man who worked hard and had a zest for the outdoors. He leaves behind a loving family—his parents, brothers, children and grandchildren.

“See you on the other side, Bud!”

A “Farewell to Phil,” will be held at Carlson Community Club on Saturday, April 12, from 1 to 3 pm.
