Mary Masales
A celebration of life for a pioneer of Powell River, Mary Masales, is to be held Saturday, April 26 from 1 to 4 pm at Town Centre Hotel.
All are welcome.
Nettie Coe, February 13, 1923 - April 16, 2014
Nettie was predeceased by Stan Coe and is survived by her children Sherene (Doug) Forsythe, Marvin (Marie), Kevin (Shelley) and grandchildren Travis, Marisa and Kiera.
Nettie taught as an elementary school teacher on Texada Island as well as in Wildwood and later worked for Statistics Canada. She was a longtime member of Westview Baptist Church and Salvation Army Church.
She was a giving person who took pride in her charity work and in helping the less fortunate. Nettie enjoyed lawn bowling, hiking club, watching hockey, running her bed and breakfast, gardening and making flower arrangements for church.
Special thanks to all staff at Olive Devaud Residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19 at 3 pm at Salvation Army Church with refreshments to follow.
