Margaret Kerr (née Sinclair), May 3, 1947 – August 11, 2012
Margaret passed away with her husband by her side. Left to mourn the passing of our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother are her husband Richard, children David (Barb), Jennifer (Ron) Viglasi, grandchildren Ben and Ethan, Jeanette (Vic) Hogan, her dear friend who never left her side, brothers John (Darlene) and Andrew, nieces Cindy and Sonya and nephew Jack. She was predeceased by her brother Robert.
Margaret was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. She moved with her family to Canada at the age of eight. Eight years later she met her future husband Richard; she married at the age of 18 and soon after “but not soon enough for Margaret” she had two children.
Margaret was an extremely loving and devoted wife and mother. Her family was everything. Just when we thought she couldn’t get more devoted or more loving, along came her grandsons Ben and Ethan. She clocked more hours in the rink watching them play hockey than most parents. People would say “they deserve the most dedicated grandparents award.” Hockey won’t be the same this year, but I am sure we will feel her beside us watching and cheering the kids on. With her grandsons, she loved playing Man Tracker, camping, having tea and cookies, watching TV, anything to be with them and she was happy.
Margaret joked about when it was her time to go, that she would get to see her beloved Jack Russell again “affectionately known as Rudy-Poody.” I am sure she is with him now.
Thank you to Dr. MacDonald, all the support workers, “Wendy,” friends who really stepped in when we needed you, and Marlane and Eileen, Jan and Judy. Thank you to the ALS Society for all your support and equipment —when we needed something “you were there.”
No funeral by request. Donations may be made to the ALS Society if anyone wishes.
It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness that we let you go. With your fantastic smile and great sense of humour, you will be an asset in heaven teaching the angels how to be better angels!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, brother, papa and dear friend, Joseph Gagnon.

He is survived by dear friend and mother of his children, Sandra, children Nadine (Mike), Michelle (Karl), Joe Jr, Austin, Christene (Andy), and Steve Tipton, Dad’s son of the past nine years, chosen by the heart. He is also survived by his grandchildren Chantelle, Jay, Aaren and Koen, great-grandchildren Autumn and Devon, siblings Don (Julie), John (Irene), Omer (Jeanette), Bob (Lucy), and Paulette (Bill)…the last rose, sister-in-law Carol (Don) and brother-in-law Richard. Joseph will be remembered by so many more beloved family and friends in the Highwood region of Alberta, the French River region in Ontario and in Dad’s most recent community, Lund, BC.
The family is so very grateful to Dad’s family in Lund. He was so proud to be a part of it. Thank you all for loving him so much.
Missing you more than words can express.
Forever in our hearts.
Love you Daddy-O ♥
