Robert Francis (Frank) Oliver, August 4, 1930 - July 24, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and friend, Frank Oliver. He is predeceased by his loving wife Betty of 42 years and his son. He is survived by his loving children, their spouses, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and good friends.
We wish to thank the wonderful staff at Evergreen Extended Care Unit for their kindness, support and care to him and to us throughout the years which made Dad’s stay that much better. We would also like to thank Dr. White and his family for their care and assistance over the years. Also thank you to Reverend Maxine and Father Das for their kindness in our father’s final hours.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 11 am at Powell River United Church followed by a reception at Trinity Hall.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC or Powell River General Hospital.
Theodor Koegl, January 6, 1938 – July 31, 2011
Theodor Nikolaus Koegl (Kögl) was born in Lenggries, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He moved from the Ottawa Valley to retire in Powell River in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Anita, née Schwarz. He is also survived by his brother Kaspar (Erna) Kögl and sister Centa Bauer both of Lenggries, Germany and his sister Frieda (Don) Hanratty of O’Fallon, Illinois as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Theresia Wagner of Powell River.
Funeral service will be held Friday August 5 at 1:30 pm from Stubberfield Chapel, 7221 Duncan Street. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Horn Of Africa Hunger Crisis or a charity of your choice if desired. Arrangements entrusted to Stubberfield Funeral Home Ltd.
