Grace Elizabeth Park (Allen) née Baynes, February 1, 1932 - December 11, 2012

Grace was born in Salmon Arm, BC to Jack and Maude Baynes and passed away with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her first husband Jim Allen, grandson Jimmy Allen, son Jack Allen, second husband Roy Park, grandson David Olson and brother Al Baynes. She was also predeceased by her “forever friend” Vi Day (Tilley).

Grace will be forever loved and deeply missed by her extensive family, sisters Blanche Henry, Matt Fettis, children Harry (Gail), Peggy (Barney), Leonard (Debbie), Rick (Joan), Paula (Gerry), Leslie, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

While Grace excelled at every job she undertook throughout her life, she will be remembered more for her guidance and wisdom that was freely given to all. Her true passion in life was always her family and friends.

Our family would like to thank all the nurses and caregivers who helped mom through these last several years, and especially Dr. Barrie McDonald who's personal care helped our mom immeasurably. Her daily life was enriched by her daughter-in-law Joan which enabled mom to enjoy her last six years, even though she was faced with many physical challenges.

No service by request.

We miss you already.

Kenda Lea Noble (née Carty), February 22, 1945 - December 15, 2012

Kenda was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Joseph and Winnie Lea (Skaggs) Carty. Kenda lived in Edmonton and Eureka River, Alberta before moving with her family to Prince George, where she met and married Richard (Dick) Noble and raised a family while enjoying a 29-year career with Scotiabank.

Dick and Kenda fulfilled their lifelong desire to live by the ocean when they retired to beautiful Powell River in 2003.

Left to remember Kenda is her loving family: husband Dick, three children Terri-Lea Noble and Lana Noble, both of Prince George and Wade (Mickie) Noble of Victoria; four grandchildren Sean Peddlesden of Prince George, Kaytlyn Peddlesden of Australia, Trevor Baceda of Prince George and Steven Noble of Victoria; three great-grandsons Rolan, Draegen and Xander all of Prince George; five siblings Richard Carty of Berwyn AB, Muriel Carty of Prince George, Glennis (Keith) Stevens of Powell River, Janet (Louis) Dozois of Legal AB and Lyle Carty of Prince George; brother-in-law Billy Lee of Kamloops, sister-in-law Peggy Noble of Port Alberni and many nieces and nephews.

Kenda was predeceased by her third child, a stillborn son Scott Cameron Noble; her parents Joseph and Winnie Lea; parents-in-law Art and Kathleen Noble; sister-in-law Charlotte Lee and brother-in-law Ken Noble.

Unfortunately, for most of her Powell River years, Kenda has endured the effects of metastasized breast cancer, which she bravely fought to her final days. After a rapid decline, Kenda peacefully slipped away on December 15, 2012 with family at her bedside. Kenda has taken her lovely smile to Heaven, where she is in everlasting peace.

The family thanks Drs. Burns and Hoffert for their expertise and loving care. Many thanks as well to all the wonderful nurses and caregivers over the years, in particular Anita and Christine at Evergreen Extended Care Unit for their outstanding kindness and compassion over Kenda’s final hours.

If so desired, a memorial donation to the Powell River General Hospital Oncology Room or Powell River Salvation Army would be much appreciated.

A celebration to honour Kenda’s life will be held on Friday, December 21 at 2 pm at Stubberfield Chapel, 7221 Duncan Street.
