Norma Grace Quinn (née Campbell), June 28, 1918 - February 10, 2013 Norma was born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in Burnaby General Hospital with family at her side.

Norma was born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in Burnaby General Hospital with family at her side. Predeceased by her husband Ed in 2000 and five siblings, Norma is survived by her loving children Ken (Deb), Jim (Marlene), Linda (Joe) and Fred, grandchildren Dereck (Laura), Jeff (Cass), Ryan and Miranda, great-grandchildren Shelbie, Caige and Nick, sister Greta and many nieces and nephews.

Norma raised her family in Powell River and lived in New Westminster

since 1985. No service by request.

Huguette Marin, April 6, 1931 - January 31, 2013

It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Huguette Marin. Mom was born in Amqui, Quebec on April 6, 1931 and passed away in Clearwater, BC on January 31, 2013. Mom was predeceased by our dad, Jean Marie Marin in December 1986. She is survived by her children Lyn (Jim) Veenhof, Guy (Donnalynn) Marin, Denise (Lindsay) Anger, Marcel (Shannon) Marin; grandchildren Derek (Krystal) Veenhof, Robbie Veenhof, Brent (Melanie) Marin, Annette Marin, Shannon Parkhouse, Brandy (Paul) McIntyre, Rylan Marin, Kalyn Marin; and the highlights of her life, her great-grandchildren, Josh, Nick, and Travis Marin, and Brody McIntyre.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 16, 2013, at Stubberfield’s Funeral Home at 1:30 pm. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.


In memory of Kathleen Ellen Baker

Born in Canso, Nova Scotia on October 16, 1921, Kathleen passed away on February 10, 2013. She was our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend.

She was predeceased by her husband John, son Johnny and son-in-law Ernie. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, son David (Sandra), daughter Dianne, grandsons Ryan, Craig and Brennan, granddaughter Jessica (Travis) and great-grandchildren Kayla and Addisen.

Eugenia ( Jean) Poirier, December 24,1928 - February 3, 2013

Jean was born in Hines Creek, Alberta and was raised in Fairview, Alberta as well as Port Alberni, BC. There she met and married Norman Poirier. She had six children David, Richard (deceased), Vicki, Debra, Jeffrey, Andrew and 10 grandchildren, one of whom was Tina who was very fond of and grateful to Gramma Jean who raised her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16 at 2 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with a tea to follow.

Fondly remembered by those who knew her. Awaiting resurrection into an earthly paradise. John 5:28-29.


Lucia Maria DellaMaestra, October 23, 1926 - February 7, 2013

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Lucy was born to Amelia and Antonio Valent in Venzone, Italy. She spent most of her life in Powell River where she touched many lives in her own special way. In her mobile years she found great comfort with various church communities.

Lucy is survived by her sister Rita, daughter Mitsy, granddaughters Sherry and Tanya, great-grandchildren David, Jeffrey and Jaimee and great-great-granddaughter Amelia. Lucy was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
