Roberta Timoshyk (née McColm)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother on February 10, 2015.

Roberta was born in Vancouver January 16, 1929. After leaving school at the age of 15, Roberta went to work at Bartram Paper. In 1948 she met the love of her life John and, after many trips by boat to Powell River to visit him, they married in 1951 and settled in Powell River. Roberta was sadly predeceased by John one day before their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Roberta is also predeceased by her sisters Ruby, Minnie and Joy. She is survived by her twin sister Robbie Young, her children: sons Mike (Mary) and Bill (Kim), daughter Tracy (Rod) Bryson and six grandchildren.

Mom was known for making the best chocolate chip cookies and her love of sports.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 15 at Town Centre Hotel.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind always be at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

and rains fall soft upon your fields,

and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of his hand

(Irish Blessing)
