Lorne (Larry) Joseph Evans
Lorne passed away peacefully at home Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the age of 68.
Special thanks to all of Larry’s caregivers, Home Care nurses and Dr. Chris Morwood for making Larry’s final days peaceful and comfortable.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, February 27, at Church of the Assumption, 7109 Glacier Street.
Helen Wishlaw, December 24, 1921 - February 21, 2015
Helen peacefully passed away at the age of 93 in the loving care of Powell River General Hospital.
Generous in spirit and action, Helen devoted her life to her family. She was born the fourth of five children and was predeceased by them and her husband Jack. She is survived by her sons Nicholas (Diana) and Robert and grandsons Geoffrey, James and Michael as well as the descendants of her siblings.
Helen loved to play golf and for many years was a member of the Powell River Golf Club where she won several trophies. She also enjoyed the time she spent working as part of the kitchen staff at the hospital. Her gentle warmth and great sense of humour will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service for family members will be held at a later date.
