Enid Bye

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend Enid Bye (née Charman). Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on April 8, 1920, Enid passed away peacefully on February 2, 2011 at the Olive Devaud Residence. Predeceased by her  husband Colin in 1996, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Shannon (Garry) and son Ross (Tami), grandchildren Brent (Amanda), Curtis (Sarah), Amy (Mike), Brandon (Nicole), Cristal (Sam), as well as her great-grandchildren Jack, Hayden, Jaxton and Jaelah, her brother Robert Charman and niece Nadine and many other cherished friends.

Enid enjoyed and lived most of her life in Powell River, where she was committed to her work as a registered nurse at Powell River General Hospital. She had a passion for her family and was able to see both her children married, have her grandchildren and even great- grandchildren. She enjoyed being up the lake at the cabin, where she had many memories of her bridge groups, and she loved those Thursday lunches with her special friends, and cheering on her sports teams at gatherings.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you for the care and support provided by the staff at Olive Devaud. Thank you also to Enid’s faithful and long time friends for the visits to the hospital and Olive Devaud and to Glynis for her extra time and compassion shown to us during this very difficult time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Olive Devaud Residence. No service by request.
