A memorial service honouring Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 11 am at Westview Baptist Church.

Elsie Margaret Shaw, November 7, 1931 - January 3, 2013
Elsie was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with her parents at the age of 16 at which time Powell River became her home. She was a long-time employee of the “old” Powell River General Hospital and member of the St. Andrew's Ladies' Club.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents and brothers William (Bill) and John, but is survived by her daughter Teresa, grandson Jordan, nieces, nephews and many close and wonderful friends.
Elsie was a talented knitter and baker and will be remembered for the beautiful baby sets and shawls she created, an endless supply of dish cloths as well as her amazing caramel bar.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Elsie’s memory.
John Chisholm
On January 2, 2013, John passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is remembered with love by his wife of 52 years Patricia and children Micheal, Merle and Marilyn. Also mourning his loss are sisters Josephine and Theresa, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. John was predeceased by his daughter Carolann, sister Kathy and parents Mina and Joseph.
John was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was an honest, kind, loyal and hard-working man with many talents. John loved to garden and enjoyed spending time with his best friend Pat, travelling and playing Yahtzee.
John's family is grateful for the many wonderful caregivers who provided comfort and support.
A service of remembrance will be held at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969 216 Street, Maple Ridge on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
