Carol “Diane” Piché (née Blatherwick), June 3, 1954 - January 19, 2013

Carol will be remembered and forever loved by her husband Claude and children Natalie and Christopher.

Whoever could know the depths of love and its many degrees better than Diane? Always a loving mother and wife, and without any conditions, this love was warm and strong like a tall mug of Earl Grey on a misty day. Her many affections included her cats, needlepoint, camping, fishing, Elvis, watching perpetual reruns, seeing plays, musicals and concerts. Her desire was to love and help other people and she never ceased to have an open ear and warm heart. The loss of her own parents was devastating, but the rays of sunshine in her life continued to be the love of her life, Claude, and her dear children.

Mom, we will miss your calls every day, that you worried enough for yourself and for us, and your bigger than life sweet tooth, which Christopher now cares for.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A celebration of life will be held on what would have been Diane and Claude’s 28th wedding anniversary, Saturday, January 26 at 1 pm at the Salvation Army.

“There are no words, no paints to express all this, only a beautiful dumbness in the soul, life speaking to life.” –Emily Carr
