Jim Sneddon, April 24, 1943 - December 24, 2012
Jim passed away suddenly of heart failure while on vacation in London. He will be sorely missed by his wife Sharon, daughters Victoria (Bill) and Debra (Graham), grandchildren Trevor and Diana (Jason) and many friends.
Jeff Forslund, November 9, 1972 - December 27, 2012
Jeff is survived by his parents Ernie and Sharon, daughter Sydney Forward, sister Shelly (Mark) Rickson, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 2 to 4 pm at Italian Community Hall.
Jeff was a gentle man who loved sports of any kind. He was a good friend, a doting father and a loving son and brother.
Sherri Ann Ruedig (née Verdiel), November 28, 1957 - December 23, 2012
It is with great sadness that Sherri’s family announces her passing after a lifelong courageous battle with illness. She was predeceased by her mother Eleanor Verdiel and is survived by her son Devon Ruedig, father Robert Verdiel, brothers Mike (Theresa) and Gary (Marilyn) Verdiel, sister Debbi (Randy) Salmond, nieces and nephew Jeremy (Chelene), Laura (Cory), Nicole and Natalie, great-niece Ally, cousins Vicki, Robert Astells, the Ruedig family and her lifelong best friend Ruth Simonetta.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Powell River General Hospital for the care they gave Sherri over her many years of illness.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 19 from 1 - 3 pm downstairs at Carlson Community Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Powell River General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Colleen Mary Plett, September 27, 1930 - December 24, 2012
With sadness, Wanda and Lance announce the passing of their mother Colleen Mary Plett on December 24, 2012, at age 82.
Colleen proudly was born, spent her life, and passed away in Powell River. She was the only child of Mike and Mary Boyce, who moved to Powell River as newlyweds in 1923. Colleen was married to Peter Plett for 59 years and together they had two children, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a wonderful life. Peter passed away in 2009 and Colleen missed him every day. In their retired years they enjoyed travelling to many places including Great Britain, the USA and Australia.
Colleen leaves her daughter Wanda, son Lance (Janet), grandchildren Mica (Nadine), Flint (Kerry) and Amber (Brendan) and great-grandchildren Blake, Tavis, Aimee, Joel and Taylor.
