Gloria J. Corcoran, July 6, 1951 - June 5, 2013

Gloria passed from this life supported by much love, reflecting the affection and healing she gave to so many. A true child of the sixties, Gloria was a peace-loving, free and gentle spirit yet with strong ideals and a will of her own. A Reiki master, she ran her successful healing hands business, and never stopped looking out for anyone who had been in her care.

She loved animals, especially her dog Spike, and Rowan, the therapy dog at Aberdeen Hospital in Victoria, where Gloria spent her final years recovering from several strokes that left her unable to speak or walk for nearly two years. She regained the ability to do both, a testament to excellent care by her team at Aberdeen and hard work by Gloria and her family and friends. The staff there called her their miracle, and she touched many with her caring ways, a truly bright spirit. In the days before she passed away, she was active and in good spirits.

Gloria leaves her sisters Dawne and Maureen, extended family including partner Roy, beloved grandchildren Tayler and Jonathan, dear goddaughter Stacey and many friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on July 13 at the Cedar Hill Golf Club in Victoria.
