Lynda Darlene Fraser (née Jones), September 13, 1947 - June 4, 2015
The beautiful spirit of Lynda is now at peace after stubbornly fighting cancer for many years. Lynda moved on to meet Grandma with a glass of wine on Thursday, June 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving and caring family.
Born in Powell River to Adele and Wyville Jones on September 13, 1947, Lynda was a charter student at Simon Fraser University and taught kindergarten in the West Vancouver School District until retirement in 2012.
Lynda is survived by her children Justin (Robyn), Jordan (Janine), Shannon (Jeff) and Bob aka Bumpy, Bop, Grumpa "R"; four stepchildren Andrea (Steve), Kirsten (Sean), Jason, Hilary (Darby); her treasured Grandchildren who were her pride and joy - Lauren, Teagan, Carly, Avery, Matthew, Quinn, Emery and Jace ("R"’s 1-8); and stepgrandchildren Aiden, Taylor, Jackson, Elle, Marlowe, Daanica, Sam and Lael. She is also survived by her brother Tom (Carol) Jones, niece Jennifer and nephew Cassidy (Angel).
The family thanks Dr. Paul Klimo for his care over the years.
A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 1 to 3 pm at the Capilano Golf and Country Club, 420 Southborough Drive, West Vancouver, BC. Please note dress code: no denim or flip flops. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynda’s memory can be made to the North Shore Hospice.
