Charles (Chuck) Mould, June 11, 1914 - June 22, 2013
Chuck passed away peacefully at the grand age of 99 years after a short illness. He was predeceased by his wife Vera in 1999 after 63 years of marriage.
Missing him terribly are his daughters Ann Hrynyk (Fred Cook), Mary-Lou (Luke) Bombardir, grandchildren Rhonda Cheriex, Duane Hrynyk, Angela, Brad and Heather Bombardir, great-grandchildren Terra and Kyle Cheriex, Chad, Rob (Ashley) and Tyler Hrynyk, Jaxon, Elle and Avery Bombardir and great great-grandchildren Vincent Cheriex and Addy Hrynyk, as well as Chuck’s sister Lil Bennett of Victoria, BC.
Chuck was raised in Vancouver, arriving in Powell River in 1934. He worked in the mill for 45 years, advancing to Superintendent of the Screen Room. He was proud to only have had to take one day off due to illness. His love of gardening was apparent to all who observed his yard where he worked most days. He was always in motion, whether inside or outside. For many years he could be seen on his daily walks around his neighbourhood no matter what the weather. He was active in the Canadian Council of the Blind club working as secretary for 17 years. He felt blessed to have stayed active and able to enjoy good health and family gatherings until recent months. Chuck and Vera were members of the Square Dance club and loved to travel.
Chuck’s family would like to thank Dr. Andreae, the staff at Powell River General Hospital and the awesome “girls” at Olive Devaud Residence. He was so very thankful for your respect and concern for his comfort. Thanks so much to his faithful friend Pat McDonald who always kept his spirits up.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 26 at 1:30 pm at Stubberfield Funeral Home, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, Chuck wished to have donations made to BC Children’s Hospital, 4480 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 3V4.
Anne Desilets, May 5, 1928 - June 24, 2013
Prayers for Anne will be held Sunday, June 30 at 5:30 pm at the Church of the Assumption. Mass of Christian burial will be held at the church on Monday, July 1 at noon.

James (Jim) Alexander Lamb, May 18, 1932 - June 26, 2013
Jim passed away peacefully in Powell River General Hospital and is survived by his second wife Sally and his two daughters Nancy (Dwayne) Robertson and Sue (Pat) Prince, grandson Dean (Terri), great-grandchildren and great great-grandsons. Jim was predeceased by his first wife Patsy in 2002.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11 am at Powell River United Church with Reverend Maxine Pirie officiating.
Larry Lacelle, June 15, 1944 - June 22, 2013
Lacelle family and friends will sincerely miss our loving, gentle Larry Edward Harvey, who passed away in Powell River. Larry is bidden farewell by wife Sandra, brother David, sister-in-law Claudia, sons Ricardo (Chantelle) and Joel (Kali) as well as grandchildren Raul, Jayda and Alessa.
Memory sharing will continue to take place this summer.
