Hans Volker Pfeifer

Early Saturday morning March 7, 2015, our dear husband, father, friend and coach Volker passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 54. His family was by his side.

In 1998 he and his wife Silke immigrated to Canada from Germany. They lived in Powell River for 15 years before moving to Campbell River in 2013.

Volker was a great inspiration. He was such a warm and vital man with wonderful, positive humour and energy. He was also a man with many trades – cooking, first aid, diving, boating. Judo and the great outdoors were his life passion. He is survived by his wife Silke and his children Mark-André, Julia-Katharina, Annika and Tommy.

A celebration of Volker’s life will be held later this spring in Campbell River. In lieu of flowers an account has been established for the Pfeifer children at CIBC, Transit 00140 Account # 8851530.

Peter spent many happy hours gardening, making wine, operating his radios and gold panning. He was constantly learning and was happy to share his knowledge with anyone who had a minute. We will miss him.
