Roy Allen Deans, Sept 23, 1940 – April 17, 2013
Roy passed away peacefully at Kootenay Lake District Hospital. He and his wife Joan spent their last seven years in Winlaw, BC.
Prior to Winlaw they lived in Powell River for 15 years where Roy retired from the forest industry. Originally from Mission, BC, Roy and Joan raised their three children Maureen (Rick) Mielke, Marvin (Liz) and Kenneth.
Roy leaves behind grandchildren Cory (Britt) Carr, Stephanie and Derrick Mielke, Bobbi-Lynn Deans and
many siblings in Mission. Roy was predeceased by his oldest son Kenneth.
We welcome you to celebrate Roy’s life on Saturday,May 4, at the Ukrainian Orthodox Hall, Mission from 1 to 3 pm.
Victoria (Vicky) Thomas (née Roth), January 6, 1932 – April 22, 2013
The family of Vicky Thomas would like to announce her sudden passing at home at 81 years young. Vicky was predeceased by her parents Viktor and Maria Roth and her beloved older brother Willi (Bill) Roth.
Vicky is survived by her loving children Ralph Thomas, Ellen Thomas, Nicole (Ed) Henri, her beloved and cherished grandchildren Sarah, Anas tas ia, Bret t and Ashley, great-granddaughter Jaedyn, brothers Viktor (Pam) Roth, Alex Roth, Kon (Barb) Roth, Arthur Roth, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the grandness of mom's close neighbours, staff and friends at Altrusa House for the love and support of mom over the last few years and all the people mom crossed paths with whom made a difference in her life.
A celebration of mom's life will be held outdoors on Saturday, May 11 at 1 pm at Nicole's home, 2132 Forest Grove Drive, Campbell River, BC.
Mom loved her fragrant flowers, especially her roses and carnations as she would sit in her backyard on sunny days, enjoying the fresh air, sunshine and visits with family and friends.
