Peter Bohn, January 30, 1923 - October 26, 2012

With tears and hurting hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Bohn of Kelowna, BC. Married 65 years to his wife Anna, he is also survived by daughters Judy (Phillip) Meier of Kelowna, Donna Bohn of Calgary, Debbie (Paul) Galinski of Powell River and son James Bohn of Kelowna. A loving papa and great-grandfather, he treasured the babies as they came. Hardworking, fun loving and a spiritual man, Peter touched people's lives with his kindness and integrity.

Peter had a strong connection to the earth, having been an orchardist for decades. He was an ardent and productive gardener to the last. He also loved the water and was an avid fisherman for most of his life. During bouts of illness and hospitalization, he was always considerate and so thankful of his caregivers. Held by his wife, Peter thanked her for staying up with him as he passed.

With his staunch, unshakable Christian faith, Peter is now in a better place, leaving behind so many loved ones who are at peace knowing he is not suffering. Special thanks and gratitude is owed to the prayer chain at St. David and St. Paul Anglican Church in Townsite. Members of the chain lifted up Peter in intercession for months during the lengthy illness leading to his passing.

Peter’s funeral was held on October 30, in Kelowna, at Immaculate Conception Church. Memories are treasured even more now and time will ease the pain.
