Michael Paul Lintner

Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, 60 years of age, of Powell River, Michael was lost to us on a crisp, sunny morning on an outport beach, while on his dream trip circumnavigating Newfoundland alongside his wife.

Mike was an intelligent, kind and compassionate man who was an intensely loyal and dedicated employee who excelled in his career as an electronic technologist in the paper industry. Before settling for the last time in Powell River, his work experience included travel in Borneo, South America, Spain, the USA and Canada, and a year in Finland with his wife and daughter.

An avid outdoorsman and fun-loving adventurer, Mike loved skiing, scuba diving, hiking, biking, travelling far and wide and any adventure on the water. His passions included sports, especially football, reading, history, geography, current events, photography and marine life. His greatest pleasure came from creating memories with Colleen and especially Katie.

He will be terribly missed by his wife Colleen, daughter Katie, sister Heather, brother Danny, and nieces Jessica, Haley, Chloe and Abby and close in-law family members, father and mother-in-law Frank and Julie, brothers and sisters-in-law Rick and Lynn, Mike and Denise, Tracy and Warren, and an additional seven nieces and nephews. Mike was also blessed with and valued his wonderful friends in Powell River and elsewhere in Canada and the USA.

Although Mike’s passing came as a shock, we are grateful that his struggle to live with Huntington’s Disease is over and his departure from our fair earth was sudden and without suffering.

Celebration of life details will be announced at a later date.
