Forever Missed

In Loving Memory

Barbara Lena Soepboer of Van Anda, Texada Island, BC passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2011 in Powell River General Hospital after battling cancer. Barb will forever be remembered by her  loving husband Ted, family and friends. She was born in Trail, BC on October 7, 1947 to Richard and Jean Fowler.

Barb touched the lives of many people with her positive attitude and strong values. She was an inspiration to all she met. Barb left fond memories in the hearts of so many she met on Texada Island and other  areas. Barb and Ted sailed many years together along the BC coast in boats they built by hand. Barb had a love for her pets and they received the best care and all the love she had in her heart. Barb loved beachcombing, collecting rocks, walking, hiking, weaving and spinning. No service by request.

May she rest in peace.

Molly Alexander (Nanny Mole)

Molly passed away peacefully on September 29, 2011 in Powell River General Hospital. She was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England on April 7, 1929 and came to Powell River in 1991.

Though she lost her battle with cancer, her accomplishments were many and organizations in Powell River benefitted not only from her time but also her smile and ready wit.

Molly especially enjoyed her days at Powell River Health Care Auxiliary and in particular the “Thursday Morning Crew.”

Molly’s family invites her many friends and neighbours to a celebration of her life being held on Thursday,  October 6 at 2:30 pm at the Carlson Community Club (wheelchair accessible). In lieu of flowers donations  may be made to the charity of your choice.
