Grant Bernard, May 27, 1955 - September 29, 2012
It is with deep sadness that we regret to announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother and uncle Grant “Tuba.”
Grant was predeceased by his dad Tim Bernard in July 1997. Left to mourn him is his partner Kathy, her two sons Derek and Bryan, his mother Bev Bernard, two sisters Marie (John) Malcolm and Monica (Rick) Lundgren, two brothers Phil (Marjory) and Peter (Lesley), seven nephews, seven nieces, four great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Grant was a very hard-working guy. His greatest passion was the outdoors. He spent many days hunting, fishing and chopping wood.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 1 pm at the Church of the Assumption.
Uncle Grant - You were a bright light in our lives and we will never forget you. Give Dad/Papa a big hug when you see him.
Walter Thomas DeRos, March 24, 1958 – September 22, 2012
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Tom in his Quesnel, BC home with his family by his side.
Born in Whitehorse, Yukon he later moved to and lived in Powell River for most of his life. This is where he met and married his wife Gail Millar in 1983 and where their four children were born. Tom will be remembered as a loving, caring and funny man and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
He was predeceased by his daughter Sheila, father Walter, mother Helen, brother Eric and mother-in-law Flora. He is survived by his wife Gail, son Robert (Laura) Millar, son Jason (Tanya) Millar, daughter Kathleen (Ryan) DeRos Trenkler, daughter Lissa DeRos, his three brothers Mario, Bobby and Tony, his sister Ellen, his brother-in-law Doug, his sister-in-law Michelle, six grandchildren Claudia, Marissa, Danica, Hailey, Kaden and Noah as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Claytons Funeral Home in Quesnel on Friday, October 5 at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted for his wife due to the sudden and unexpected passing of Tom.

Kenneth Robert John Wilson, September 27, 1955 - September 26, 2012
We are very sad to announce we have lost Ken after a long battle with cancer. He has left behind his loving, caring wife Ella, his sons Dean (Pam), Ryan (Hayley), stepsons Barry (Sarah), Jeff (Brandy), his pride and joy 10 grandkids and his sisters Moira (Dan) and Betty (John).
Ken spent most of his life in Powell River with lots of good memories up Powell Lake at the cabin and good times watching and playing hockey at the Powell River Recreation Complex. Ken enjoyed the adventures and activities of the outdoors, especially fishing!
He loved to show everyone a good time. He will be sadly missed.

Romas Emile Kliauga, October 29, 1923 - September 25, 2012
Rommy passed away peacefully on September 25. He was predeceased by his parents Jonas and Katarina and sons Dennis and Grant.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Delores, children Karen (Lloyd) Otiquam, Holly and Jeff (Jennifer). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Chris, Korey, Destry and Julie.
Thank you to the staff at Evergreen Extended Care Unit for their care and kindness given to Rommy over the past five and a half years. Thank you to Stubberfield Funeral Home for all their help.
