Margaret Mary Inkster (née MacLeod), February 8, 1934 - September 12, 2011

Margaret passed away peacefully on September 12, 2011 in Powell River. Left to mourn are her loving  husband Ian of 54 years; her children Rod (Donna), James (Joyce), Doug (Joane) and Ken (Sally); her  grandchildren Catriona (Mike), Seonaidh (Paul), Rory (Lauren), Moriah, Edward (Lauren) and Christine;  her great-grandchildren TaSeti, Liam, Hali and Grant; her brother Fred (Margaret), her sister Isabel (Jack)  Arklie and many nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 7 pm at the  Church of the Assumption. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Friday, September 16 at 1:30 pm at  the Church of the Assumption and reception to follow at Saint Joseph’s Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully appreciated to the Powell River Pro-Life Society or Powell River Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements entrusted to Stubberfield Funeral Chapel.

Thank you to Dr.  Schweitzer and the nurses and staff of Olive Devaud Residence for the excellent care of mom.


Attilio Sovran, July 17, 1922 - August 31, 2011

Attilio was born on July 17, 1922 in San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy and passed away on August 31, 2011 in Trail, BC.

He lived his faith and loved his family, friends, his garden and music. He was a member of the Knights of  Columbus, the Colombo Lodge, the San Martino Club and the Italian choir.

Attilio is survived by three children: Lorraine (Blair), Valerie, and Linne (Casey); seven grandchildren:  Drew, Amy, Lindsay, Murphy, Kye, Alison and Harley; two step-grandchildren: Eddie and Donna; two  great-grandchildren: Taya and Klover; and five step-great-grandchildren: Carly, Daryl, Taylor, Kiley and Ryan.

He was predeceased by his parents Lino and Linda, and his beloved wife Eleanor (2008).

A prayer service was held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 7, at 7 pm. Father  Matthieu Gombo Yange OfmCap celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s on Thursday,  September 8 at 10:30 am followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Bill Clark Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ was entrusted with arrangements.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Benzer for her loving care and to Our Lord for taking our Dad peacefully. Christopher Brandon Cameron, June 23, 1988 - September 7, 2011

Brandon was suddenly taken from us on September 7, 2011. Brandon had a huge heart and made many  friends in Powell River and Nova Scotia. He lived life to the fullest and his infectious smile will be missed  by all. Brandon will be lovingly missed by his mother Sherry Hartley and her partner Allan, his father Chris Cameron (Nova Scotia) and his very best friend Bryn Foreman. No service by request.
