Lisa Ann Shelton (née Ouellette), December 9, 1959 - September 14, 2011
Lisa passed away suddenly in her home. She was predeceased by both her parents Georgia and Philip Ouellette. She is survived by her loving son Philip, his wife Tammy, son James, grandson Philip Jr., brothers Dan and Ken Ouellette and life partner Wayne Amundson.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Grace House women’s shelter. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 1 pm at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 5139 Manson Avenue. Tea and sandwiches to follow.
Judy Jones, October 1953 – September 2011
Judy passed away suddenly last week surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Victoria, BC, where she lived until she was 12, when her family moved to Powell River, BC. She graduated from the University of Victoria, taught briefly in Kelowna, BC before settling in Parksville. Judy was a passionate educator, who taught in many of the district’s schools.
Judy was predeceased by her dad Alan Jones and is survived by her mother Jessie Jones. She will be forever remembered by her loving partner Roelof Elzinga, children Jim Powell, Graham (Ashley) Powell, Jeanette (Mike) Martin and Ian Powell, treasured grandchild Isabella Martin, sisters Lynne (Jack) Broekhuizen and Alma (Brian) Van't Schip, brother Wayne (Suzy) Jones and countless other friends, family, co-workers and students. She will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. Judy loved the outdoors, travelling, playing and listening to music, spending time with friends and teaching elementary school.
