I am not against development, but I wonder if we can handle more and more people [“Powell River Council considers bylaws for Beach Gardens property,” July 8].
We have a real problem, in that many people are without a family doctor, and more and more are having to use the emergency room at the hospital.
We have also greatly reduced the number of beds in our hospital and have long waiting lists for our care facilities.
What steps need to be taken before we can take in more and more people?
