Kudos to [City of Powell River] mayor Ron Woznow for hosting the public forum on January 28 at the recreation complex [“Powell River mayor hosts public forum,” January 31].
As a 42-year Powell River resident taxpayer, it was gratifying to see him live up to his mandate of open, transparent government.
I would also hope that the C3 [city, qathet Regional District, Tla’amin Nation] meetings will also be transparent and open to the public and media as per the Community Charter [“Tla’amin Nation wants C3 meetings closed to public and media,” January 20], especially when it involves the taxpayers of qathet Regional District and Powell River.
