Thanks to the community our Four Tides Hospice Society fundraiser was a resounding success [“Powell River Garden Club prepares for event at Patricia Theatre,” April 23].
Many people showed up to enjoy the entertainment, and to learn about and support the society. Powell River Garden Club wants to thank all those who participated and particularly the many generous local businesses who contributed prizes for the successful raffle. We would not have been able to raise these funds without them.
This is a demonstration on how important it is to support local businesses, which in turn support the community.
