As a self-described environmentalist, King Charles III invited thousands of people to attend his coronation in person [“Editorial: It’s time for Canada to become a republic,” May 5].
Pomp and circumstance in defence of tradition is not justification for burning up the planet even more. This is extreme royal hypocrisy.
To quote [late Tragically Hip lead singer] Gord Downie: “The kids don’t get it. They just don’t get it.”
