Letters: It would be better for BC Ferries to say ‘We don’t know’

'We plan our trips but we cannot rely on the ferry webpage as it is wrong'
BC Ferries route 3

Editor:

I can only conclude that BC Ferries is about as competent as Sechelt council.

We don’t mind waiting for a ferry. What we do mind is being told there is 46 per cent available so we arrive 90 minutes early. Unfortunately, we get in a lineup on the highway in the sun with no washrooms.

This is a situation I try to avoid.

We try to book reservations but the popular times are sold out.

We plan our trips but we cannot rely on the ferry webpage as it is wrong.

It is better to say “We don’t know” because they do not know.

I don’t know why we put up with such incompetent service.

These are the facts, BC Ferries has all kinds of answers and surveys, suggestions and focus groups but they are all PR distractions. Can the ferry ever arrive on time when it has a full load?

I know their service is excellent on the first ferry of the day and the ship is one-quarter full.
