Letter: Moving to plan B

Well, here we are. Another mill shutdown with still three months to years end. I guess Donald Trump’s plans are working, whatever they are [“Catalyst Powell River in 15-day curtailment,” September 16].

First we remove all the nasty bits from inside the big smoke. Second, we line the inside with “foam” rubber, speakers, sensors, lasers, colour organs, holographic projectors and whatever else is available. On top a large high-speed computer-controlled drum, like a seiner drum is mounted holding the elastic cord.

Presto. Powell River now has the world’s tallest indoor bungee drop. Helicopter lift to the top? New mental health services? People will come from near and far to prove their need for fear. And the town makes money.

Do you care? Or, maybe base jumping from the forestry lookout out Lund way? Geronimo!
