The Prince’s premise that carbon dioxide (CO2) is causing climate change is fraudulent. CO2 is a trace gas comprising less than one per cent of the earth’s atmosphere; humans contribute three per cent of this, meaning humans contribute 0.003 per cent of the total CO2 in the atmosphere.

My research indicates there is what amounts to fraud on the part of PhD dissertations where the researcher begins with a false premise which is treated as true.

An example of this fraud in climate change research is the opening sentence in Jinho Ahn’s dissertation: “Understanding how the atmospheric concentration of CO2 changed in the past in response to other changes in the climate system provides us with a better understanding of how current and future changes in the carbon cycle will influence our future climate.”

Stating that the climate influences CO2 concentrations and therefore the reverse is also true, with no evidence to support such a claim, is misleading at best when the information I provide at the beginning of this discussion is considered.

Another example is in an abstract by Alexander Robin Stine, called Climate Change at Annual Timescales. He begins his abstract with the following: “The annual cycle is the dominant mode of climate variability for most aspects of climate that humans engage with. Trends in the amplitude and timing of the annual cycle have been observed in both the surface temperature record and the atmospheric carbon dioxide record, but causes and significances of these changes remain poorly understood—in part because we lack an understanding of the character and mechanisms of natural variability.” The full abstract is available online. It supports the previously quoted research—climate governs CO2.

An article titled, Whether it is Warming or Climate Change, it Cannot be the CO2, by Dr. Tim Ball, gives evidence that in all cases CO2 levels follow temperature change. Further, he published a graph which is exactly contrary to CO2 levels and industrialization. Ball also describes how the climate change caused by humans “got going” and how the media censors contrary information. His article is found here.

Finally, I quote a dissertation in which the second sentence of the abstract states: “Water vapor is the major greenhouse gas present in the atmosphere.”

Temperature affects water vapour in the atmosphere, hence affecting the major green house gas.

This last dissertation has provided a huge amount of fun for me, unlike all the other dissertations and journal articles I looked at. I was not able to connect with or order through the university library a copy of the complete dissertation: The Role of Water Vapor in the Clear-sky Greenhouse Effect in the Tropics, by Sumedh Acharya. Interesting beginning for conspiracy theorists—water vapour is the major greenhouse gas—not CO2 which is only a trace gas comprising less than one per cent of the atmosphere.
