Entire Swiss-themed village for sale in B.C.

Warm up the cheese fondue!

A historic Swiss-themed village is on the market for $2,300,000 in British Columbia.

Known as Edelweiss Village, the property consists of more than 50 acres in Golden in the Kootenays. Seven homes sit on the site.

Six of the homes were built between 1910 and 1912, originally for Canadian Pacific Railway employees and their families. According to the listing, these workers would "tour wealthy tourists into the mountain areas such as Rogers Pass, Banff and Lake Louise."

The Swiss Guide Homes feature "amazing wood work, wooden stair cases and views that are hard to beat from every window."

The other home was built in 1978 and appears to be of the rancher/B.C. Box variety.

As of the time of this writing it's been on the market for 489 days, so the price may be negotiable.
