BCHL club sends future considerations to Surrey Eagles

Powell River Kings have acquired Dawson McKay from the Surrey Eagles. According to the BC Hockey League club, Surrey will receive future considerations to complete the trade, which was announced on Monday, June 3.

McKay, a forward who hails from Houghton, Michigan, played 10 games for the North American Hockey League’s Bismarck Bobcats last season before joining the Eagles. He then scored five goals and five assists in 21 games with the BCHL team.

Before entering the junior ranks, McKay recorded 121 points in 100 games over four years with his high school club in Houghton.

McKay will join the Kings for the 2019/2020 season. He was born in 2000.
